Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. About Department
The CGH Allied Health Department is made up of about 50 professionals in Physiotherapy/Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Podiatry and Social Work. Last year we provided therapy to over 6,500 clients in community and outpatients and receive an average of 500 referrals across Allied Health disciplines per month.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Grade 1 Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist to join our team at Central Gippsland Health (CGH). This position offers the opportunity to obtain experience across a broad spectrum of Public Health services. Offering a mixed caseload, across hospital, community, outpatients and aged care settings in a thriving and vibrant rural health setting. There are opportunities to expand into speciality areas such as Paediatrics, Hand Therapy and Women’s Health supported by experienced specialist physiotherapists within the team.
You will work in a rotating caseload as part of a large team (23 staff) comprising of Grade 1 therapist x 3, Grade 2 therapist x 5, A Grade 3 therapist, Exercise Physiologists x 4, Allied Health Assistants x 9 and a Department Head. Within the Physiotherapy department we offer over 20 community-based rehabilitation groups additional to our acute and outpatient service. Acute caseload includes working over Critical Care Unit and Short Stay, Emergency Department, Medical and Surgical wards and Women’s Health and Paediatrics. Community caseload covers both group and individual based rehabilitation, outreach at Loch Sport, Maffra and Rosedale and home-based therapy. CGH offers acute orthopaedics with both total hip and knee replacements happening on site. CGH services four aged care sites in the area.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Degree in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
• Current AHPRA or ESSA registration
