Join our team as the Regional Housing Collaboration - Project Lead and be at the forefront of driving housing equity in regional communities. You will guide six regional community legal services in developing an understanding of the problems faced by regional renters and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

About the role

You will play a pivotal role in advancing housing equity by identifying improvements to the existing system and developing priorities to address systemic barriers by advocating for fair, inclusive housing solutions in regional areas.

Developing strategies and working with stakeholders, you will help ensure that communities have access to affordable, secure and sustainable housing. You will amplify the voices of those affected by housing challenges, driving meaningful changes toward a more equitable housing landscape through research, policy recommendations and community engagement.

Spearheading initiatives aimed at improving housing policies and practices in regional areas, you will collaborate with stakeholders and lead research efforts to influence positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop advocacy strategies to address housing challenges in regional communities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, community organisations and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support policy recommendations.
  • Lead community engagement efforts to gather insights and amplify voices.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and policy briefs to communicate findings and proposals.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables effectively.

  • Proven experience in project management or a related field.
  • An understanding of housing policies and regional challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Passion for social justice and community development.
