The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist - Advanced (Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver specialised Occupational Therapy clinical consultancy services to multidisciplinary teams
- Manage service delivery effectively through collection, analysis and interpretation of relevant service and patient level data
- Maintain and develop advanced level of clinical knowledge and skill in palliative care through development activities
- Develop, plan and coordinate the delivery and evaluation of specialised education and training programs
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (6 months with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $5557.50 - $5798.90 per fortnight

The Supportive and Specialist Palliative Care Service provides comprehensive and compassionate care to address specialist palliative care needs for consumers across Gold Coast Health, as well as leading a number of statewide services and projects. A range of services are provided across community, inpatient, outpatient, consultancy, and telehealth settings.
The Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service provides an interdisciplinary specialist palliative care consultancy service to rural and remote settings across Queensland.
