About the Role: Step into the essential role of Bus Driver and ensure the safe and timely transportation of our residents. Beyond driving, you'll participate in organised outings, assist recreation and care staff, and maintain the bus in top condition. Your role is crucial in providing a supportive environment for our residents, enhancing their experiences, and contributing to our mission of holistic care.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely transport residents to and from external activities and events.
- Maintain the bus in a clean and functional state, conducting weekly maintenance checks.
- Assist residents on and off the bus, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Participate in planning and researching future outings to enhance residents' experiences.
- Support additional transport needs at short notice and assist with other community and customer experience needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- A high standard driving record.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
- Demonstrates attentiveness and sensitivity towards the elderly.
- Maintains friendly and respectful rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
Essential Requirements:
- Police Check
- Pre-employment medical assessment
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Unrestricted Queensland Drivers Licence
Shift Times:
Weekdays -
6:54am to 3:00pm
8:00am to 4:06pm
