Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will be entrusted with the following duties and responsibilities:
- Domestic Assistance: Provide comprehensive domestic assistance, including detailed household cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and medication reminders, fostering a comfortable and nurturing home environment.
- Community Access: Facilitate community access, assisting with daily chores such as doctor's appointments, events, or outings, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
- Supporting Clients with Mental Health Challenges: Bring quantifiable experience in supporting clients with mental health challenges, employing a compassionate and understanding approach.
- Assisting Clients with Physical and/or Challenging Needs: Demonstrate expertise in assisting clients with physical and/or challenging needs, utilizing innovative solutions to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitoring and Documenting Clients' Progress: Take on the responsibility of monitoring and documenting clients' progress, maintaining detailed records to facilitate personalized care and support.

Proficiency Required:
We are seeking candidates who are proficient and have a proven track record in the following areas:
- Hoist Training: Expertise in operating hoisting equipment safely, ensuring the utmost comfort and safety of our clients.
- Food Handling: Mastery in preparing and serving meals, with a keen attention to dietary needs and hygiene standards, ensuring a nourishing and enjoyable dining experience for our clients.
- Manual Handling: Proficiency in employing ergonomic techniques to assist clients with mobility and transfers, actively promoting their independence and dignity.
- Medication Handling: Demonstrated ability to administer medications with precision, adhering to strict protocols to safeguard our clients' well-being.
- Electric Wheelchair Handling: Complete mastery in operating electric wheelchairs, facilitating seamless mobility and fostering independence for our clients.

Qualifications/Experience:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Certificate III in Disability or Mental Health, showcasing a solid foundation in the field, or any equivalent.
- Preferably with experience in disability support work or mental health support, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one upon commencement, ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies effectively.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, demonstrating a commitment to safety and well-being.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Police Check
