Lower Murray Water (LMW) is a water corporation providing water services to urban and rural customers along the Murray River, from Wemba-Wemba Land (Kerang) through to Latji Latji Land (South Australian border). With just over 200 staff located in and around Mildura, Swan Hill, Kerang and Robinvale, we are responsible for servicing around 80,000 customers.
We are looking for a dependable and team orientated person to join our Electrical Team based in Mildura. This team is responsible for the efficient delivery of maintenance to our plant and equipment to support our customers and region.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Team Leader – Electrical, this role will work within a team and support the safe maintenance and operation of assets across LMW’s irrigation, drainage, potable water and sewer systems including pumps, motors and starter equipment, PLC, Telemetry and SCADA networks.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical equipment such as pumps, motors, control panels within water and wastewater facilities.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

Maintain tools, equipment, and plant in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, and technical documents.

Proven experience in the direction and supervision of apprentices and contractors.

Being flexible with availability and hours, overtime and out-of-hours work will be required, as will forming part of an on-call roster.
About you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated A Grade Electrician looking to build on their experience and looking to build aa career in the Water Industry To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

Unrestricted Victorian Electrician’s ‘A’ Class Licence or equivalent

Experience in either water industry, mining or industrial desirable, but not essential
-
Experience with PLC’s and VSD’s
-
Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Current drivers’ licence

Construction card
-
Must have the right to work in Australia.
