Responsibilities
As a Test Technician, you’ll be working on a project designed to deliver more reliable services, enhanced passenger information systems, improved accessibility, greater energy efficiency, and a more comfortable ride.Primary Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections and preparation of trains upon arrival at the commissioning site.
• Execute routine commissioning activities at the train level, including support for both static and dynamic validation testing in line with established test procedures.
• Sign off on relevant sections of test specifications upon successful completion.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may occur during the commissioning and warranty phases.
• Ensure testing is completed in accordance with the project’s delivery milestones.
• Compile and distribute test reports upon completion of each testing phase.
Your Profile
To be eligible for the role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:• 2–3 years of experience in testing and commissioning of rolling stock
• Qualified A-Grade Electrician
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics
• Experience performing functional and safety testing on rail or industrial equipment
• Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools, test equipment, and fault-finding techniques
• Familiar with commissioning procedures, including system validation and performance checks
• Understanding of rail safety standards and working in safety-critical environments
• Strong documentation and report writing skills for test results and compliance
• Experience working in site-based or workshop environments
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
