Right now, our client is looking for a skilled Test Supervisor to join the team in Pakenham! You’ll execute routine testing & commissioning activities for the Rolling Stock Project, keeping things running smoothly, driving innovation, and helping build a more sustainable future—all while making a real impact.

Responsibilities

As the Test Supervisor, you’ll be running the day-to-day and leading the team on-site, helping bring a project to life that’s all about making train travel more reliable, more accessible, more energy-efficient—and more comfortable travel experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and plan daily site activities

• Take the lead in coordinating the on-site team

• Carry out routine train-level commissioning and support both static and dynamic validation testing, following the set test procedures

• Review and sign off relevant sections of test specifications

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that come up during the commissioning and warranty phases

• Ensure all testing is completed on time, in line with the train delivery schedule

Your Profile

To be eligible for the role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with testing and commissioning of rolling stock

• Licensed A-Grade Electrician

• Proven ability to lead and coordinate test teams in a rail or industrial setting

• Experience supervising testing, commissioning, and fault-finding activities on rolling stock or heavy equipment

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and testing procedures

• Ability to plan, schedule, and oversee test operations to meet project milestones

• Knowledge of rail industry safety standards and compliance requirements

• Skilled in conducting risk assessments and safety checks prior to and during testing
