Join Now Careers client , a trusted name in steel reinforcement manufacturing, as a Purchasing & Inventory Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the procurement process and play a critical role in ensuring our operations run efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and negotiate with suppliers for steel and related raw materials.
  • Secure competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee stock levels to support uninterrupted production while avoiding overstocking.
  • Work closely with warehouse and production teams to monitor inventory movement.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet industry standards and internal specifications.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to inspect incoming goods.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
  • Resolve delivery issues and address concerns with quality or service.
  • Track and coordinate the transportation of materials to meet delivery timelines.
  • Manage storage planning to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Keep detailed records of procurement activities and inventory.
  • Provide insights to management on purchasing trends and future material needs.
  • Ensure all procurement and inventory processes comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in Purchasing : Especially within manufacturing environments.
  • Inventory Management : Familiarity with inventory systems and supply chain practices.
  • Negotiation Skills : Confident negotiating prices, contracts, and delivery terms.
  • Knowledge of Steel Products : Understanding of steel reinforcement materials, grades, and applications.
  • Attention to Detail : Precise in documentation and inventory records.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities : Quick thinker in resolving supply or quality issues.
