Description:
Responsibilities include the operation of passenger transfer vessels
Duties include:
- Sea navigation of the vessel;
- Loading and unloading helicopter passengers;
- Helicopter Refuelling;
- A strong product sales background;
- A high level of attention to the provision of customer service to passengers;
- Competent rope handling and ensuring vessel lines and mooring equipment are maintained and in good working order;
- Competent with the docking of vessels;
- Ensure the general cleanliness of the vessel;
- Conduct safety demonstrations for passengers;
- Will be required to operate the transfer vessels, including completing all required administrative records and delivery of informative and entertaining commentaries;
- Have a solid working knowledge of safety procedures including but not limited to Abandon Ship Procedures, Fire Fighting Procedures and Man Overboard Rescue routines.
Requirements:
- Current Coxswain (NC1) Certificate (Essential)
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR (Essential)
Prior experience in the Marine Tourism Industry and knowledge of the Great Barrier Reef would be an advantage.
