In This Role You Will
Lead and coordinate associated multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of assessment functions across the state through:Monitoring and enhancing staff performance and development.Negotiating with team members to ensure effective and efficient team performance.Participating in the recruitment, selection and induction of staff. Lead activities that assist in the responsible management and use of the State's natural resources in accordance with the Department's legislative responsibilities. Advise, liaise, consult and negotiate with departmental clients, all levels ofgovernment, and other organisations on natural resource management issues. Participate constructively in regional and State-wide teams. Exercise delegated authority under legislation using sound administrative decision making processes. Prepare and draft submissions, briefs and correspondence. Undertake risk analysis to find innovative solutions to complex problems within the regulatory framework. Lead the planning and implementation of compliance. Review, develop and implement improved work practices and procedures in meeting departmental objectives and maximising services to clients.
