About the role
As a Site Foreperson for Channel Earthmoving Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the execution of civil construction projects in the Southern Tasmania. This full-time position will see you managing on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards. You will be the key link between the project team and the client, responsible for driving productivity and maintaining clear communication throughout the lifecycle of each project.
What you'll be doing

Oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, set out and quality control.

Liaise with the project manager to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets and safety protocols.

Coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors and suppliers to optimise workflow.

Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.

Monitor and report on project progress, productivity and quality.

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations, standards and client requirements.

Promote a positive, collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreperson in the civil construction industry.

Demonstrable expertise in managing projects from inception to completion.

Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment and safety procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders (clients, head contractors, engineers, surveyors etc.

A proven track record of leading and motivating construction crews to achieve project goals.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings and specifications.
