About the roleBand 5 - base salary from $117,700 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
As our Systems Accountant , you'll be the go-to person when it comes to driving innovation, enhancing digital maturity and supporting strategic financial outcomes across the Finance function. From improving processes, to boosting automation and reporting, you'll play a key role in shaping how we use SAP and other digital tools.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the development, maintenance and governance of finance master data to support informed business decisions.
- Collaborating across Finance and Digital teams to drive the delivery of strategic system improvements aligned with our Digital Strategy.
- Supporting the finance team with system issues, training, and process guidance, while working closely with our digital support teams and external consultants to ensure timely resolution.
- Troubleshooting SAP-related issues and helping end users adopt more efficient processes.
- Participating in system upgrades and testing, helping the team embed new ways of working.
- Documenting system processes, training materials and best practices, and delivering training where needed.
- Assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities and related system accounting tasks.

About youYou're a system-focused finance professional who thrives on improving processes and supporting others, coupled with a strong mix of technical capability, stakeholder engagement, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Here's what you'll bring to the role:
- Demonstrated passion and experience in innovation, continuous improvement, and enhancing the user experience.
- Proven experience working with SAP Finance modules in a systems accountant or systems specialist role.
- Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting practices.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex data sets.
- Experience in data analytics and dashboard development using platforms such as Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of data management techniques and practices.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical system and accounting language into plain English for business users.
