Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or previous experience in a similar role.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Can do attitude!

Desirable:

  • Experience with recruitment in aged care.
  • Experience in the PALM scheme, DAMA, and ACILA.
  • Knowledge of visa processes and international candidate management.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to create effective recruitment advertisements and related materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach, with strong initiative, drive, and outcome orientation.
  • Sensitivity and understanding of the diverse needs within the organization and the recruitment process.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Onboarding Process: Work closely with Key Stakeholders to ensure comprehensive onboarding program, that includes orientation to workplace culture, policies and procedures is conducted for each new International Team Member
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Retirement Villages, local real estate agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth integration process
  • Cultural Orientation: provide cultural training and resources to help international employees adapt to Australian society and work environments
  • Local Resources and Services: Compile and disseminate information on local amenities, healthcare services and community resources to assist international employees
  • Ongoing Support: Establish a support system for international employees to address any issues or challenges they may encounter during their transition
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all accommodation and onboarding activities comply with relevant policies and prepare reports for management review
