Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Chef, your primary responsibility is ensuring a high level of guest service and high food quality at all times across the hotel. Day to day functioning of the line should be of second nature to the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Ensuring all food produced is in line with departmental standards and kitchen recipes

Preparing and cooking all food orders with a sense of urgency
-
Organising an assigned section and ensuring it runs efficiently and productively
-
Ensuring the area of work is kept clean at all times in accordance with health regulations

Working in a fast-paced environment and within a team environment
-
Working closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus incorporating native and Indigenous ingredients
The successful candidate will have:
-
A commercial cookery qualification with previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment for at least 3 years post-apprenticeship.

Experience providing quality food and presentation of all dishes

Knowledge of WHS and food safety policies and procedures

Relevant food preparation and service knowledge

The ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills
