THE ROLE Project OfficerThe Project Officer within in the Housing Development Branch role will play a key role in providing document management and project management support to the project teams who are focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to affordable housing for Victorians. The role will directly support Government's Ground Lease Model Project – South Yarra, Prahran, Hampton East and Port Melbourne, an innovative public private partnership to deliver new social, affordable and market rental housing across Melbourne.
Are you
- Experienced within the construction sector exposure to large scale, fast-tracked residential and/or social infrastructure projects?
- Able to conceptualise an idea and turn the idea into a deliverable that meet business needs?
- Open to new ideas; show initiative; proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them?
- Detailed orientated to ensure written correspondence is carefully composed and reviewed to achieve the ultimate outcomes?
- A team player who enjoys working in a dynamic fast-paced infrastructure project environment?
- A problem solver that can review procedural complexity and work with internal and external teams to resolve work task blockages
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders?
- Qualified and/or experienced in procurement and delivery of residential and/or large scale commercial projects with a proven track record of contract administration, financial management and process management for large scale projects?
- Support the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
- Coordinate all aspects of document control within the Project including, but not limited to all contractual documentation key correspondence and internal project management documents, using the Project documentation management systems, and proactively identify and implement document control initiatives.
- Ensure the management of all project compliance activities is robust, including ICN reporting, regular departmental requests for information are proactively responded to, and support provided to the project team to respond to audits for compliance.
