Territory Women’s Clinic is a new clinic opening in Yarrawonga, within the City of Palmerston. We are the only exclusive Women’s Health Physio clinic in the Palmerston region. We have two treatment rooms and a small boutique rehab area. Our mission is to create a space where women feel safe, cared for and empowered to believe in their bodies and achieve their goals. We provide a high-quality, evidence-based service with our patients’ goals guiding treatment and management. Territory Women’s Clinic has a vision to be the leading provider of pelvic health services for the women of Palmerston and Darwin, and we are looking for a skilled and passionate Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our foundational team.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist at Territory Women’s Clinic, you will provide expert care for women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunctions across the lifespan. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a foundational clinic and to assist the director in creating a high standard of care and practice. It’s an opportunity for your individual ideas and interests to be utilised with opportunities to create new programs, treatment methods and procedures. It will also develop into having the opportunity to mentor junior Women’s Health Physios as we have goals to expand rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate women’s pelvic health and associated concerns and be able to diagnose and communicate this confidently.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices with a patient’s goals being the focus.

Educate patients on pelvic health, self-management strategies, and exercises to improve their quality of life.

Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, specialists, and other therapists.

Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in women’s pelvic health physiotherapy.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Promote pelvic health awareness within the community through workshops or outreach initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
-
Relevant qualification in physiotherapy that meets membership eligibility requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and registration for practice with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

Minimum postgraduate certification (or level 2 APA course) in continence and pelvic health physiotherapy (required).

At least 3 years experience in Women’s Health Physiotherapy.

Well-developed communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation and conflict management skills, with experience working in a team environment to achieve positive health outcomes.

Proven ability to implement and complete continuous quality improvement, service development activities and a commitment to continuing professional development.

Proven ability to efficiently and effectively manage a high-volume workload.
Desirable
1. Experience working in private practice setting.
2. Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and proven experience in working effectively with patients and families/carers of diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
3. Experience providing clinical supervision of students and/or staff.
What We Offer:

Above award salary based on experience, with annual pay point increases.

10.5% superannuation in addition to salary.

4 weeks accrued annual leave, 10 days accrued personal leave per annum.

3 CPD days plus $1500 CPD allowance per annum. Additional financial support from NTPHN for scholarships and bursaries available on application.

Option for a 4-day work week (regular 38hrs) after 3 month probation period.

Ongoing in-house professional development and option for paid external mentoring opportunities up to 1hr per week (as required/ requested by clinician).
