The Opportunity:
Come and join our team! We are seeking a Community Disability Support Worker located in Kyneton. You will be responsible for support a customer with daily living tasks, supporting them to live an independent and holistic life. Each day may look a little different but your work will be centred around the following:
- Providing support in everyday daily activities around the home
- Providing support with hygiene and personal care
- Assistance, support, and chaperoning activities outside the home environment
- Assisting with medication compliance which may include the dispensation of prescription medication
- Meal assistance which may include meal preparation
- Assistance with Hydrotherapy
- Assistance with slide transfers
What shifts are we offering?
- Tuesdays - 8:00am-4:30pm
- Wednesdays - 5:00pm-8:00am (5:00pm-10:00pm active, 10:00pm-6:00am inactive, 6:00am-8:00am active)
- Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm - alternating weeks (Friday shifts include a hydrotherapy component)
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Induvial Support
- At least one year experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Drivers License, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Clearance, First Aid (3 yrs), CPR (12 months) & National police clearance - or willingness to obtain
- Manual handling certification
