Description:

As part of the Digital division, Digital Capabilities & Commercial, holds the accountability of successful management for some of AEMO’s critical IT applications as well as providing key enabling services and functions to the wider Digital division.
This position’s purpose is to co-define and lead the strategy across Ways of Working and to manage the team of high performing permanent and contract professionals in the Ways of Working practice. This practice is managed as part of the Agility, Speed and Developer Experience team under Digital Capabilities & Commercial.
AEMO is undergoing significant transformation and growth driven by the disruption being experienced in the energy industry in Australia and globally. The way we deliver work needs to adapt and be flexible to meet the constant changing needs and requirements of consumers and energy policy.
Role responsibilities
Manage the program of work to uplift AEMO ways of working, people capability and delivery of agreed strategic goals Provide individual and team coaching for agile coaches, scrum master’s and project teams Conduct regular reviews of programs, projects and teams to assure quality of people performance Work closely with Project Mangers, Product Managers, Project Sponsors and Delivery Leaders to ensure the right support is in place and functioning effectively Develop and maintain reporting on the teams’ goals, KPI’s and progress by leveraging metrics and data to inform continuous improvement opportunities. Maintain and further develop the Community of Practice (CoP) for Ways of Working ensuring it is inclusive, making progress and delivering results. Engage customers and stakeholders to ensure the team is building the right solutions and course correct if needed. Define a training program that meets the needs of the various stakeholders involved in the Ways of Working journey rollout. Keep current with communication trends, standards, digital technology, and encourage the team to do the same. Negotiate and arrange upskilling.
Knowledge And Experience
Demonstrated experience working with senior managers and executives and a strong background in both traditional and Agile ways of working. Experience with implementing a hybrid agile governance and assurance process Demonstrated experience in Agile coaching, mentoring, and developing team members Demonstrated experience in enterprise-wide agile transformations, as a leader or manager - leading change through agile delivery and coaching Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing a diverse, geographically dispersed team. Strong collaborating, influencing and negotiation skills with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility Excellent & visionary leadership, management, teamwork, coordination, communication and interpersonal/influencing skills
Education/Certificates
Agile project management qualifications Degree or tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering. Degree qualified or professional certifications in relevant technologies, or equivalent.
