  • Lead growth and engagement for research focused on ageing well at home
  • Full time 12-month fixed term opportunity based at our Gosford Campus
  • 17% super, generous annual, personal, and life leave, wellbeing programs, health and fitness discounts

Be challenged and imagine with us

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and sustainability of the Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab – an innovative initiative focused on helping people to age well at home.

You will be responsible for securing diverse funding, building strong partnerships, and raising the Living Lab’s profile across the community, industry, research, and government sectors.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about community engagement, strategic communications, and driving new initiatives that make a real difference.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and grow a pipeline of diverse funding opportunities, including research grants, partnerships, philanthropic contributions, and sponsorships.
  • Foster and manage relationships with aged care researchers, clinicians, community organisations, industry, and government.
  • Lead grant application processes and support the implementation and evaluation of funded projects.
  • Drive communications and engagement activities to showcase the Living Lab’s impact and build its reputation.

We understand that balance is important and are committed to supporting flexibility. We offer flexible work arrangements, including part-time options for the right candidate. However, as building strong relationships within the community is central to this role, it’s important that you are available to work on the Central Coast to foster local engagement.

This 12-month fixed term position will be located at the Central Coast Clinical School – Gosford Campus (Darkinjung land).

How will you inspire us?

You will have:

  • Expertise in grant writing, business development, or securing diverse revenue streams aligned with strategic goals.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage across community, industry, aged care, and research settings.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with strong project management skills, capable of balancing hands-on delivery with strategic planning.
  • A background in health, aged care, or Higher Education is preferable.

As a new position, this role offers a unique opportunity to tailor the role to your skills and experience, while also supporting your growth in new areas.
