About the company
Busselton Pavilion is a bright and breezy pub in central Busselton. This is a great opportunity to join an owner-operated hospitality group committed to a heartfelt guest experience and growing the next generation of hospitality crew.
Acclaimed chef Brendan Pratt (ex Vasse Felix) is our Head of Culinary - you will have his support and mentorship, along with operational support from our head office in Perth, in your role of Head Chef.
You will also get to work on an exciting internal culinary project within the venue, launching later this year.
About the role
The Head Chef is a key position setting the standard for high quality kitchen management, with high-level responsibilities across kitchen systems, processes, people and culture, suppliers, compliance and service.
The venue is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, with an earlier finish on Sunday.
What you will be doing as Head Chef

Creative menu development and execution in collaboration with the Head of Culinary, Brendan Pratt

Costing menus, driving kitchen systems and processes to meet KPIs.

Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the established standards.

Foster a high-performing and positive workspace.

Manage timesheets, rostering, personnel issues and have regular performance reviews with your team.
Who you are

You have a proven track record of managing kitchen operations to a high standard in a large venue.

Chef qualifications will be well-regarded. Must have Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and Australian working rights.
