Position Vacant: Truck driver and Warehouse assistant
Location: Noosaville, Noosa
Employment Type: Casual
Working hours : up to 38 hours a week.
Shifts ranging from 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday
Classification: General Retail Award – Level 3
The role :
This role is based at the Noosaville Warehouse and is responsible for handling the movement of goods in and out of the Warehouse, and Noosa region Family Stores.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be working with a small team of six, excluding volunteers. Shifts can start as early as 8am and finish at 4pm.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate the company vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimise the risk of injury, property damage, loss of life and ensure appropriate maintenance/service and cleanliness of vehicle inside/outside.

Undertake the pickup and delivery of all goods in accordance with the written schedule as per WH&S Manual Handling procedures and other policies and procedures.

Maintain stock to required standards and ensure goods are stored appropriately.

Ensure timely removal of soiled rubbish and bins to refuse centre.

In collaboration with the Warehouse Manager ensure all donated goods are stored in a Safe/Secure area and triaged to the various departments for processing.
What We’re Looking For:
-
Minimum 2yrs experience in driving/operating commercial vehicles.

Previous experience in a customer facing role.

Competent computer skills and ability to use software applications to complete work and training goals.
Mandatory Requirements:

A national police record check is required

Applicants must be Australian resident/ Citizen.

Current valid Driver’s Licence.

A reasonable level of fitness in order to carry out the duties of the position. This position will require physical ability to stand, sit and walk for long periods time. The role will require you to push, pull, lift, carry, restrain stock and climb ladders etc. such work will be undertaken in accordance with WH&S policies and procedures.
