An Exciting Business Opportunity for 2025!The Roma and District Tennis Club is seeking an experienced and reliable individual and or coach to manage the operations and programming of the Club. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated person looking to build on and grow a friendly tennis community based with excellent facilities. We have 8 synthetic grass courts, two of them have been upgraded in June and the other six were upgraded in 2016. All courts have excellent lighting.
Roma itself is situated approximately 500kms west from Brisbane with a population of roughly 7000. It’s a friendly, laid back rural community which would suit anyone looking for a slower pace of life, lower cost of living and a chance to escape the rat race. We are looking for someone who is willing to take a proactive role in marketing and growing the business whilst delivering great quality programs to the community. This is a fantastic opportunity for applicants to negotiate a business model lease agreement with the club, allowing for financial gain with no competition within a 200km radius of Roma.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the successful candidate are:
- Manage the day to day running of the venue operations
- Plan, manage and deliver:
- Hot Shots Tennis
- Private lessons for all ages and abilities
- Cardio Tennis
- Adult group coaching
- School holiday camps
- In and out of school tennis sessions
- Manage Coaching and membership enquiries
- Manage court bookings
- Organise and manage club competitions
- Establish good relationships with stakeholders
- Utilise club management, Point of sale and Tennis systems in the running of the facility
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a current and valid Tennis Australia Coach Business Member – Development Coach or Club Professional Coach (preferable)
- Experience with managing tennis venues (preferable)
- Has a strong tennis background with a passion for teaching
- Is a self-starter with a positive attitude
- Is reliable, dedicated, professional (both on and off the court)
- Has excellent time management skills
- Possesses well-developed communication skills with demonstrated experience forging relationships with children, parents, adults, club/committee/school stakeholders and the wider community in general.
Mandatory Requirements:
- A valid Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Public Liability Insurance and valid ABN
- Legal eligibility to work in Australia
