Senior Business Development Director - IT Consulting and Services - $200-220k base + commsMy client is a global consulting and services company that uses human-centered approaches to problem-solving and change management to create value for businesses. They have expertise in a wide range of best-in-class software, platforms, services, and solutions. These include platforms such as SAP, ServiceNow, Microsoft suite, Hyperscalers, Data & Advanced Analytics, and specialized AI solutions.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a results-driven Senior Director Sales with 10 to 15 years of experience in solution or consultative sales. The ideal candidate will excel in acquiring new clients, driving sales, and executing go-to-market strategies to expand our footprint across technology platforms and consulting services. This role requires a highly entrepreneurial mindset, a tenacious approach, and a proven ability to deliver results in competitive markets.
The Role
- New Business Development - Identify and target new business opportunities in consulting services and technology platforms across key industries in the ANZ market.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using campaigns, networking, and market intelligence.
- Create a planned structured sales strategy and organization in coordination with Country Head and Chief Sales Officer.
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop tailored proposals and negotiate high-value deals, demonstrating clear ROI to clients.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client objectives and aligning solutions to business goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored solutions leveraging frameworks and technology platforms.
- Stay updated on market trends and represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven success in selling consulting and IT services to new business in ANZ market, ideally with exposure to the Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, or Utilities sectors.
- Experience with Data & AI platforms, and/or business transformation consulting with SAP, ServiceNow, Microsoft would be advantageous.
- Strong hunter mentality with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with experience engaging senior executives.
- Ability to analyze market trends and create tailored, high-value proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related fields (MBA is a plus).
- Familiarity with enterprise technology platforms and consulting frameworks.
