Nova Systems is embarking on the next phase of its strategic growth and transformation. At the core of this journey lies their people— their most critical asset. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Head of Workforce Strategy will lead the design and execution of a forward-looking, future-fit workforce strategy that positions Nova to thrive.
This pivotal senior leadership role is responsible for aligning workforce planning, organisation design, culture, performance, and capability development with Nova’s long-term vision. It combines strategic thinking with operational execution, ensuring Nova attracts, develops, and retains the talent needed to support Nova’s continued success across Australia and internationally.
This is more than just a workforce role—it’s a business-critical appointment that will shape the future of how Nova Systems performs, leads, and grows.
The opportunity includes:

Strategic Workforce Planning : Lead Nova’s workforce planning and organisational design, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals and talent needs.

Capability Frameworks : Oversee the design and implementation of development and competency frameworks to grow internal capability and drive succession planning.

Cultural Leadership : Drive the evolution of Nova’s cultural identity and embed high performance through change management frameworks and leadership capability building.

Performance Strategy : Own the continued development of our High-Performance Framework, performance systems, and recognition programs.

Employee Value Proposition (EVP) : Strengthen Nova’s EVP and people policy suite, championing inclusion, engagement, and a compelling employee experience.


What we’d like you to bring:

A proven track record in senior HR leadership, workforce strategy or people experience, preferably within professional services, defence, engineering, consulting, or government environments.

Expertise in strategic workforce planning, organisational design, cultural transformation, and leadership development.

Experience building and embedding capability frameworks, L&D strategy, and performance models.

A strong understanding of change management theory and practice, including experience leading transformation initiatives.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and influence at Executive and Board level.

Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related field are highly regarded.
