About the Team
Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About the Opportunity
Infrastructure Maintainers carry out the physical work of maintaining ARTC's rail track, including preventative and reactive maintenance activities, as well as undertaking minor construction for planned capital upgrades. Infrastructure Maintainers undertake general labouring, track maintenance duties, safety protection work, visual inspections of ARTC's rail track, operating heavy machinery, welding and other maintenance tasks while meeting ARTC standards.
What do we want from you?

  • Current drivers licence and proficiency in driving a manual car
  • Computer proficiency - Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and oral skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Past or present Rail Industry experience, specifically in track maintenance
  • Current Rail Industry Competencies
  • Track Safety Awareness (One Track) qualifications
  • Construction industry induction (white card)
