The opportunity
As the National Design & Services Manager at Hindmarsh, you will operate at a national level and be responsible for leadership of the design and services management functions.
Reporting to the National Construction Manager, you will:
- Develop, maintain and implement the Hindmarsh Design Management plan
- Work with project teams nationally to ensure that Hindmarsh design and services management requirements, systems and processes are understood and implemented on all projects
- Manage Design Managers and Services Managers across the business, including overseeing workforce resource planning
- Actively support the Design Team in business development events, including representing the company with industry bodies and associations
- Lead Hindmarsh’s strategy and approach to sustainability and embodied carbon
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
- 10 + years of proven experience within a building contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2) in a Design Manager, Design Consultant or Project Manager role
- Experience across a range of project types (commercial, education, health, data centres, industrial), and on projects exceeding $50M+
- Proven capability in cost planning and pricing value management strategies
- Advanced knowledge of relevant construction Legislation, codes and Regulations
- Competent using Aconex, Bluebeam, and other construction software programs
- Advanced user of CAD and BIM technology
