About the Opportunity
This is a 12-month secondment role.
As the Housekeeping Team Leader, your primary focus will be providing efficient management and coordination of the cleaning and laundry operations, ensuring a safe, high-quality cleaning and laundry service to our residents in compliance with legislative requirements.
This is a hands-on position that requires you to lead from the front.
· Directing and supervising staff in their duties
· Ensuring staff are competent to use machinery required for their position
· Ensuring that cleaning of residents’ rooms and public areas meets the infection control standards
· Ensuring that laundry services are conducted in a safe and efficient way that meets the needs of the home and residents
· Manage the ordering, delivery, stock control and storage processes
You must be able to demonstrate:
· Experience in housekeeping
· Ability to motivate people and desire to enhance the performance of your team
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
· Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
· Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
· Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
· Understanding of the Residents’ Charter of Rights, highly desirable
