About the position

La Trobe University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Officer, Strategy and Planning to join our dynamic team within the Office of the Provost. This pivotal role will provide support to effective planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement activities across the Office of the Provost and Schools. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing datasets and providing analysis and insights to inform decision-making processes, as well as coordinating Senior University Governance and Joint Discipline Committees.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

Analytical and Technical Proficiency: Intermediate skills in Excel with the ability to analyse and interpret data to provide valuable insights.

Strong Communication and Organisational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, along with the ability to coordinate meetings, agendas, actions, and minutes for Governance Committees. Ensure compliance with the LTU policy suite, through policy interpretation, measured guidance and expectation setting with senior members of the University.

Problem-Solving and Innovation: The capacity to generate original ideas and offer innovative solutions, address complex issues, and effectively solve problems.

Customer Service and Team Collaboration: A focus on providing excellent service and support, and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments to achieve project goals.
