About the Role
We are seeking an experienced academic to join our Department of Nursing at Swinburne University to work in collaboration with the Department Chair and academic team to enhance the quality of nursing education and research at Swinburne. Supporting and leading the postgraduate mental health offerings in the Department of Nursing will be an important focus of this role.
With a passion to lead and innovate, you will contribute to the leadership, development and review of Nursing courses using blended models of unit delivery; participate in the administration and ongoing curriculum development of units offered by the discipline; and engage and lead research and scholarship aligned to the strategic direction of the school. You will be expected to lead and contribute to research activities in the School of Health Sciences in Nursing and/or aligned fields of research and will carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop your scholarly, research and/or professional expertise.
As the Senior Lecturer, you will embrace diversity and enrich the opportunities of colleagues and students in the delivery of education and research within the discipline and carry out educational and curriculum development of both online and on campus learning materials and assessments in nursing. In addition, you will contribute to the overall coordination and teaching of units and/or courses.
The Department of Nursing is developing postgraduate offerings in Mental Health Nursing and candidates with mental health nursing expertise and experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching including a record of co-ordination, teaching and/or curriculum development and teaching in nurse education.
Qualifications
A Doctorate qualification or working towards a doctorate appropriate to the discipline. AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or equivalent Health Professional qualifications/credentials.About Swinburne University of Technology
