General Manager - The Hoxton, European Opportunities

Accor Hotels
Canberra Full-day Full-time

Description:

Company Description

We are looking for experienced General Managers for upcoming European opportunities.

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and immerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.

All of our hotels are situated within major cities, so it is essential that you are flexible with your location.

What's in it for you...
  • Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that’s committed to not just building new hotels but creating a global brand.
  • The chance to challenge the norm and work in a creative and rewarding environment.
  • Become part of a passionate team dedicated to creating great hospitality experiences and building a portfolio of brands.
  • A competitive package and ample opportunities for development.
Job Description

What you’ll do…

  • Take full responsibility for the commercial success and overall performance of the property, including P&L, budgets, planning, and forecasting.
  • Lead by example in creating exceptional guest experiences that exceed expectations and enhance the property's reputation.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer service for both external guests and internal stakeholders, and build long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure brand standards are properly implemented and innovate ways to ground the brand in the local market.
  • Focus on people management by creating a supportive environment that encourages growth and enjoyment.
  • Manage relationships with central teams and property owners effectively.
Qualifications

What we're looking for...

  • An experienced hotel operator with international exposure.
  • Proficient in handling all commercial aspects, including F&B, balancing business needs with brand integrity.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, natural guest experiences.
  • A leader who sets standards, motivates, and develops their team.
  • Strong market and industry knowledge with valuable connections.
  • Authentic individuals who embrace their personality and bring genuine energy.
  • A passion for hospitality in all its forms.
  • Committed to creating memorable experiences and positive impacts on guests and staff.
  • Open-minded, ego-free, and adaptable to new approaches.
  • A team player who enjoys a fun, supportive work environment.
