Our client is a leading provider of professional air conditioning and refrigeration services across a broad range of residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the Melanesia region.

The business is part of one of the largest and most diverse business groups across the region. Our client is a local company proud of its long history and contribution to local society. Many of the region's most important and prestigious landmarks are serviced by our client's ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions.

Our client is now looking for a full-time General Manager based in the Melanesia region .

Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for leading the business operations, driving strategic growth, and ensuring the successful execution of company policies and objectives.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing company policies and long-term business strategies
• Conducting business analyses to optimize financial performance, sales, and new product development
• Leading engineering functions, including design, product development, and quality assurance
• Providing technical expertise in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Cooling (HVAC) operations
• Overseeing financial planning, budget management, and capital expenditure approvals
• Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and clients
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws
• Managing procurement processes and policy adherence
• Overseeing workforce performance, development, and operational efficiency
• Driving customer satisfaction while minimizing operational delays
• Supporting business growth through strategic planning and project execution

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Mechanical Engineering (or an equivalent qualification). A minimum of 10 years of technical and management experience in the HVAC industry or a related engineering field will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• HVAC professional qualifications with relevant industry experience
• CRM experience
• Expertise in engineering, design, and product development in the HVAC sector
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management
• Knowledge of procurement processes and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to maintain relationships with key suppliers and clients
