Logan City Special School are seeking two permanent Head of Department - Student Services to support students across our Primary and Secondary campuses.
Our successful candidates will work alongside the school leadership team to provide guidance and leadership in the development and implementation of engagement and support strategies aligned to the school's Positive Behaviour and Learning (PBL) priorities.
Candidates will have a good understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and be familiar with a case-management approach when partnering with teacher teams.

There are two permanent full-time positions, Head of Department - Student Services (Primary) and Head of Department - Student Services (Secondary).

About the School
Our school is located directly opposite the Logan City Council offices and the Logan Entertainment Centre. We cater for students, Prep to Year 12, who require significant adaptations to access learning through a high level of individualised programming by specialist teachers.
About the Role
As the Head of Department - Student Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal.
- Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
- Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
