About the role
We are seeking passionate Casual On-Call Mini School Bus Drivers to join our team at Sunshine Buses Pty Ltd in Tanah Merah, and Beenleigh QLD. As a Casual On-Call Mini School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting special needs students to and from school each day, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey. You will operate with a Student Supervisor on the bus who is there to assist with the students. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work as needed to suit your schedule. The role is a maximum of 20 hours a week and split shifts.
What you'll be doing

Safely operating a mini school bus to transport special needs students to and from school each day

Ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the journey

Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety and cleanliness

Providing excellent customer service to students and their families

Communicating effectively with the office, Student Supervisor, and parents as needed
What we're looking for
-
A current and valid open LR or above driver's licence, with a good driving record

Drivers Authorisation (Industry Authorisation) or be willing to obtain. (they can be obtained through the Department of Transport and Main Roads)

Experience driving a minibus, or a 22-seater bus or similar-sized vehicle

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work well with children

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
