About the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) is the national independent regulator of Commonwealth subsidised aged care services. The Commission’s primary role is to provide end-to-end regulation of aged care services for the purposes of protecting and enhancing the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of aged care consumers. Through engaging with aged care consumers and providers, the Commission’s vision is to build older Australian’s trust and confidence in the quality of their care and services.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy, the Executive Director Data, Analytics and Intelligence will be responsible for overseeing the Data, Analytics and Intelligence Group. The Group manages and analyses data from the aged care sector and regulatory activities to understand risks and performance for the purposes of prioritising and informing preventative and responsive risk treatments and regulatory decision making.
Key Duties:
- Work closely with other Groups across the Commission to lead the development of tailored content to provide the community, government and sector with insights on sector performance, including content that providers can use to benchmark their own performance.
- Support the Commission’s service delivery functions through provision of data on demand and analytic services to assist in the prioritisation and management of high volumes of information and workflow management.
- Deliver data and information services that support the Commission to manage its performance as a best practice regulator.
- Accountable for the data management, governance and strategy including building data skills and capabilities within the Branch and across the Commission.
