Handyman - Private Hospital Melbourne (Eastern Suburbs)
Are you a skilled handyman with a wide range of trade experience? BGIS is looking for a versatile, hands-on Handy Person to join our team at a private hospital in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. If you've got experience in everything from plumbing and air conditioning to carpentry, painting, and tiling, we want you on our team!
In this role, you'll work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the hospital's maintenance runs smoothly, while keeping safety and quality at the forefront of everything you do.
What You'll Do:
- Handle a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, tiling, carpentry, and more.
- Keep on top of KPIs, ensuring excellent service delivery and meeting contract requirements.
- Log and track maintenance data accurately, keeping schedules and operations on track.
- Assist with Capital Works projects and collaborate with contractors to get the job done right.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards, reporting any issues as they arise.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Be a collaborative team player, supporting both the BGIS team and the client to get the job done.
- Proven experience in building or facilities maintenance.
- A broad skillset across multiple trades, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and more.
- A strong commitment to safety and following OHS and compliance standards.
- Experience with maintenance management systems is a bonus but not required.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on teamwork and delivering quality results.
