THE ROLE

The ICT Project Coordinator plays a key role in the Strategy and Analytics team, providing support across ICT projects designed to deliver system processes aligned with the Social services Regulator (SSR) strategic direction and operational service delivery priorities.

Under the support and direction of the Strategy and Analytics Manager, the ICT Project Coordinator will assist with coordination of ICT projects, change management, writing technical requirements documents, workflows, processes and procedures.

This role is fast paced, requires strong attention to detail and forms part of the larger Business Transformation and Corporate Services branch (BTCS) and will contribute to key functions designed to:

  • Assist in the development of project management documents such as project schedules, business scope statements, project plans and business processes.
  • Coordinate the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what is required at the right time
  • Coordinate, prepare, attend and minute stakeholder ICT Project meetings
  • Assist with drafting and formatting of ICT documentation
  • Administer the design and development of feedback surveys
  • Meet with project stakeholders to assess their needs and define project requirements, acceptance criteria and project timelines
  • Coordinate the delivery of training and information sessions for ICT projects and systems

The SSR uses a risk-based intelligence led approach to protect the safety and rights of children, young people and adults experiencing vulnerability.

Applicants should have strong written skills, an ability to apply big picture strategic thinking to detailed project task allocation, requirements gathering, sound time management skills, and be highly collaborative.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • be the liaison between the ICT project team and project subject matter experts throughout the project life cycle, from project mobilisation, post implementation, maintenance and performance improvement.
  • assist with ICT level one support queries and ad-hoc testing of SSR applications
  • assist the Strategy and Analytics Manager monitor project team's performance and provide updates to project stakeholders
  • foster cross-team collaboration to help project team members complete project tasks and produce deliverables
  • distil key information and can apply sound knowledge of departmental programs and services to identify issues of significance and opportunities for improvement
  • coordinate training for SSR ICT systems

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Support the full life cycle of SSR ICT projects to meet organisational objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
