Access the National Relay Service

As the Procurement Specilaist you will be responsible for the management of medium to high value and medium to high complexity category management activities to deliver value for money through the implementation of best practice procurement governance and contracting processes.

What you'll do

You will:

  • Provide additional support as necessary to the Director Service Delivery, Procurement Manager to support the delivery of overall state-wide and regional strategies and plans.
  • Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with relevant key supplier and customer stakeholders to drive better value outcomes and maximise benefits.
  • Identify and socialise potential procurement opportunities and solutions with supplier and customers, working closely with them to support and inform state-wide strategies and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain an outstanding relationship with Hospital and Health Services (HHS) stakeholders in the region and support the implementation of engagement programs that seek to foster a collaborative approach to strategic procurement practice.
  • Develop and maintain outstanding supplier relationships to ensure that best value outcomes are delivered.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Demonstrates experience in leading and managing categories of spend, applying category management processes, developing sourcing strategies, business cases and category plans.
  • Holds self and others accountable for the delivery of outcomes, tasks and closure of projects on time, on budget and to customer satisfaction.
  • Solves difficult problems with logic, use of data and the appropriate governance frameworks. Considers broader interests of stakeholders to deliver creative solutions.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the key drivers for all stakeholders, internal and external, and works to provide best value commercial solutions.
  • Demonstrates a visible and active commitment to personal well-being, healthy and safe workplaces and activities, and continuously looks to improve the health, safety and environmental performance of Queensland Health.
