The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a Maintenance Assurance Officer to provide independent quality assurance and support for the improvement of maintenance services for Cape Class vessels. This includes the independent audit and review of maintenance conduct, integrity and sufficiency of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE); recommendations and implementation of continuous improvements; review and recommendations for resolution of maintenance related Requests for Problem Resolution (RPR); Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Opportunities for Improvement (OFI). The role will routinely sample elements of the mission and support systems supporting service delivery to ensure Business quality and service delivery meet Client requirements. This role will operate out of Cairns and provide functional support to the operations team nationally.

You’ll need
Essential
Formal qualification in maintenance management, trade or engineer.CMMS knowledgeMarine systems experienceBasic excel & wordAbility to understand technical drawingsAttention to detail
Desirable
Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical or equivalentDefence Maritime experiencePrevious large scale construction or maintenance shutdown project experiencePermits / isolation experienceKnowledge of flange management, weld procedures & NDT processesPervious QA/QC experience on a large-scale project
