Description:
Andrew Peace Wines is a large family owned winery and agriculture business with a focus on exports. Located in Piangil (North Western Victoria) with over 500 Ha of established vineyards in Piangil and surrounding areas, the health and maintenance of these vineyards is critical for production. We are currently seeking Full-Time Vineyard Operators to help ensure and maintain the health and appearance of the vineyards and work alongside other team members to ensure efficient and high quality outcomes.
Tasks & Responsibilities

General Vineyard Duties:

Conduct machine operation such as slashing, chemical and fertiliser application, pruning, harvest and more
-
Basic maintenance of machinery and tools, ensuring that all plant and equipment is kept in good, clean condition

Outdoor activities, including vine training, pruning, and canopy management if required

Assist in the planting and establishment of new vineyard sections.

Ad hoc duties as required

Vineyard Maintenance:

Contribute to the general upkeep of the vineyard, including tasks such as post replacements, wire straining

Help maintain and repair vineyard infrastructure as needed

Vineyard Program Implementation:

Assist in the implementation of vineyard programs, ensuring all necessary records are kept up-to-date and accurate

Follow instructions and adhere to program guidelines to meet vineyard production goals

Compliance and Safety:
-
Comply with all company policies and adhere to vineyard safety procedures
-
Ensure that all tasks are completed with attention to health, safety, and environmental best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
-
Experience with agricultural equipment is required
-
Ability to perform physical labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions
-
Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow instructions accurately

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors

Must hold a valid ChemCert or be willing to obtain one

Must hold a valid driver’s licence

Have intermediate English proficiency

Strong practical skills and the ability to use sound judgement in various situations
