Description:
- 5 month role with possible extension
- Based in Brisbane CBD
Accountabilities:
- Undertaking specific program/project activities using recommended project control solutions to plan and initiate activities of projects in line with project objectives and timelines.
- Within given research goals, assist in the conduct of research on issues associated with the allocated projects including the collection, collation and analysis of information.
- Preparing and drafting a range of project reports, spreadsheets, planning documentation and other correspondence utilising a range of computer software packages.
- Undertaking onboarding and exiting processes for new project staff.
- Monitoring budget and provide regular financial reports to Project Managers as well as undertaking purchase order creation and goods receipting using SAP
- Develop and build good working relationships with key stakeholders
- Organise meetings, workshops, forums and focus groups with internal and external stakeholders and take required minutes.
- Undertaking project board preparation including: room bookings, agendas and minutes
- Assist with project scheduling and updating risks and issues registers as required.
- Assist in managing project artefacts through the department’s eDRMS and SharePoint to ensure the timely availability of information to support and evidence project decisions.
- Manage project email inboxes and disseminate the information to required parties
- Provide general project support to Project Manager and Director, Information Governance & Digital Enablement including document publishing, asset coordination, survey manager.
- Prior experience supporting programs and projects in a complex operating environment
- Demonstrated skills in the use of agile project management tools and their application including demonstrated skill in the financial, functional and technical management of project activities and the ability to support the administration of entire project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as a member of a high performing team, in a complex operating environment.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral, including demonstrated ability to participate in and support liaison, consultation and negotiation with diverse client groups both internally and with external agencies.
- Sound knowledge, or the capacity to acquire a sound knowledge, of current strategic issues pertaining to the direction of information and communication technologies and relevant policies within a complex educational environment.
- Prior experience using SAP
- Prior experience supporting programs and projects within Government
- Understanding of Prince2 and Agile methodologies
- Although this role does not have a specific mandatory qualification, formal qualifications in relevant discipline is desirable.
