Due to ongoing growth driven by their well-established engineering capabilities, they are excited to offer a newly created opportunity for an Estimator to join the team.

About the role:

In this key position, you’ll collaborate closely with the Project Management, Estimating, and Finance teams to ensure that budgets, costs, and schedules are meticulously tracked and managed. Your expertise in Excel will be crucial for generating precise cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports. You'll play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
What you'll do:
  • Develop, track, and maintain detailed cost estimates and forecasts for multiple projects.
  • Support project tenders with accurate cost estimates and procurement strategies.
  • Manage client invoicing, subcontractor claims, and variations in project scope.
  • Lead procurement activities to ensure cost-effective project execution.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, cost breakdowns, and detailed financial data to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on project scheduling and ensure milestones are aligned with budgetary goals.
  • Support various project controls, including earned value management and cost management systems.
What you'll bring:
  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel, with a strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in Estimating, Project Controls, or Cost Control (experience in Maintenance & Construction sectors is advantageous).
  • Proven ability in utilising project control tools such as Earned Value and software like MS Project.
  • Experience managing cost control systems, including handling Schedule of Rates/Cost Plus Projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
