The Team:

Join our Clinical Midwifery Education CME team. We provide education support for the whole health team in Hospitals and Primary health North West to support maternity and neonatal care. We focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

  • Extensive experience as a Midwife across the scope of practice of midwifery care.
  • Familiarity with working in a level 2 special care nursery and providing education support to the whole multidisciplinary team in neonatal care.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or working towards them and experience in clinical education.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working up to 20 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. (delete if no access)

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in neonatal care.

  • Current Working with Children Registration
