Description:
As an Apprenticeship Support Officer you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Tasmania's building and construction industry by mentoring apprentices as they progress through their career pathways, providing the support they need to succeed. Working closely with Tasmania's top commercial contractors and leading residential builders, you'll create new apprenticeship opportunities by building strong relationships with host businesses and promoting the Group Training Organisation's (GTO) services across industry and educational networks.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Attendance at industry events, pathway presentations and educational facilities to establish partnerships and collaborations

Building and maintaining strong relationships with host businesses and industry partners to promote the Master Builders GTO and increase apprenticeship opportunities

Undertake recruitment activities to attract and retain high quality candidates

Mentor MBT apprentices and support Host employers to fulfill training obligations and ensure successful completion of apprenticeships

Ensure compliance of apprentices and Host employers with WHS legislation and best practice
This role is based out of our Launceston office, supporting the north and north-east regions. Frequent travel is required to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, with occasional travel to other regions as required.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a National Police Check and pre-employment medical as pre-requisites to their engagement and maintain Working With Vulnerable People registration and drivers' license as part of their ongoing employment.
