Two-year contract | Full-Time Higher Education Officer Level 5 | $80,405 - $88,737 pa plus 17% superannuation Location: Darwin | Larrakia Country View Position DescriptionAbout the Role
As a Facilities Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to students, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring a welcoming and vibrant campus atmosphere. You will assist with the maintenance and facility operations of rural campuses and student accommodation in your region, providing support with tasks like Work, Health and Safety (WHS) activities, responding to student emails about maintenance items, and conducting inspections and changeovers. You’ll also manage inventory, purchase cleaning supplies, and coordinate maintenance and bookings for fleet vehicles.
In addition, you’ll assist with contractor management, coordinating contractors for scheduled building maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure tasks. You’ll also contribute to the preparation and renewal of leases for student accommodations, all while aligning with the University’s contractor management procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations across Northern Territory facilities.
A Northern Territory Driver’s Licence is a requirement for this position.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Completion of a relevant degree or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and make informed decisions independently. Strong oral and written communication skills for producing reports and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members and stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
