DutiesPlans & Procedures:
- Develop, update, and implement emergency management plans, policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments to determine vulnerabilities and prepare mitigation strategies.
- Proactively update risk registers and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare report for key committees as required.
Training and Preparedness:
- Create and deliver training programs and exercises for staff on emergency response and preparedness.
- Organize drills and simulations to test emergency response capabilities and improve protocols.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work with key managers and internal committees to develop plans and procedures.
- Proactive approach to identify new risks / issues and work with key managers to identify appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Response and Recovery:
- Undertake role of Chief Warden on a rotational basis.
- Assist in the coordination of emergency response activities during incidents, ensuring timely communication and resource allocation.
- Participate in post-incident recovery efforts.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to emergency management.
- Prepare and submit reports to management as required.
Access Control:
- Assist Infrastructure team to provide appropriate access to PAHSMA sites/ buildings for staff and contractors.
- Assist in the development of SOPS for access control.
Other duties as required and directed from time to time including, but not limited to:
- Undertake the role of first aid officer (or equivalent), provide first aid, and maintain the required first aid qualification as determined by PAHSMA.
