Role Overview
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll lead a key division responsible for customer service delivery, including managing a team of Account Managers, Customer Engagement Specialists, and a Transport Manager overseeing 30+ drivers + contractors
This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role combining service excellence, team leadership, and operational accountability.
You'll need to bring stability, leadership maturity, and a continuous improvement mindset to a branch that's undergone significant change - with a clear mandate to stabilise, drive compliance, enhance customer satisfaction, and create a high-performing, engaged service team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee customer service delivery, account management, and transport functions
- Lead a team of Relationship Managers, Transport Manager, and Customer Service Specialists
- Manage service delivery KPIs, compliance, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Work closely with Production to ensure smooth flow from collection to delivery
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across service operations
- Manage budgets, P&L reporting, and operational costs
- Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports to create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and customers
- Drive change initiatives and support national service improvement projects
Candidate Profile
You'll be walking into a fast-paced, complex service operation that needs a steady hand, strong leadership, and someone who can lead from the front as the business continues to grow.
You're someone who has:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in service delivery, operations, or logistics (Managed services, hospitality, transport, or FMCG experience ideal)
- Brings a strong customer service lens with commercial acumen
- Has experience leading teams through change and building team culture
- Thrives in a hands-on environment - strategy and admin are part of the job, but you'll also be on the ground coaching and guiding your teams
- Is confident working cross-functionally and influencing key internal and external stakeholders
- Understands compliance, continuous improvement, and operational KPIs
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management (or similar) are highly regarded
- Must hold a valid driver's licence (company vehicle provided)
