Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Head of VCE Programs for our Senior Secondary College.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Chisholm's Senior Secondary College is a registered Non-School Provider (NSP), delivering the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Vocational Major (VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), and primarily educating young people (aged 16+) who have left school early for a variety of reasons. Chisholm also offers an adult VCE program, supporting all students to continue with completion of their secondary certificate and transition into post-school pathways.
Chisholm is seeking experienced and aspiring secondary education leaders, to manage the Senior Secondary College's multi-campus, onsite program delivery of VCE, VCE-VM and VPC to ensure to ensure educational excellence, regulatory compliance and high-quality student learning experiences are achieved.
Head of VCE Programs is valuable member of Chisholm's Senior Secondary College leadership team and is required to work collaboratively, within a framework underpinned by child safe practices, to support the educational attainment of all young people and adults in the College. Contributing to a positive education climate, all College leaders are required to demonstrate continuous improvement, innovative practice and demonstrable effort towards student engagement and retention
As Head of VCE Programs, your key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate teaching activities and delegate tasks to achieve educational outcomes based on high-levels of teacher performance, continuous improvement initiatives and appropriate professional development
- Operationalise the Senior Secondary College’s NSP Framework and associated academic learning programs to promote a positive climate for students and staff
- Monitor and report on student outcomes in line with the NSP Service Framework
- Oversee the implementation of positive learning and behaviour management strategies across the VCE, VCE-VM and VPC programs.
- Support other Education Managers in the coordination and delegation of tasks to teaching and non-teaching staff to deliver operational outcomes including, timetables, assessment and progress reporting, accurate internal record keeping, administration of VCAA - VASS requirements, and course enrolments including eligibility and VETDSS selection.

- Oversee the implementation of positive learning and behaviour management strategies across the VCE, VCE-VM and VPC programs.

- Oversee tailored teaching and learning for priority cohorts that ensures the College’s legal obligations are met under the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic), the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and also the Disability Standards for Education 2005 (Cth) to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate students with disability.
- Manage recruitment, selection, on-boarding and induction of teaching and administrative staff
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with significant experience and deep, functional knowledge of VRQA and VCAA administrative and compliance requirements for Non-School Providers (NSPs).
Qualifications required for the role:
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary) qualifications, or other post-secondary teaching qualifications that are VIT-approved.
- VIT registration
- Demonstrated teaching and leadership experience in a senior secondary education setting
