As our Manager, Logistics and Supply Chain (Facilities, Assets & Fleet Services) you will:
- Lead and manage multiple teams in the Logistics and Supply chain to co-ordinate business and administrative functions.
- Thoroughly understand the existing strategy and develop robust logistic plans that can be executed effectively to ensure the delivery of treatment and surveillance activities.
- Undertake comprehensive planning and forecasting aligned to the work plan to ensure field teams are appropriately resourced.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance to the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (the Program) on corporate governance matters including Logistics and Supply chain to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with whole of government and departmental policies.
- Plan, negotiate, manage, and evaluate the provision of the Programs Logistics and Supply chain services in collaboration with the Director Business Services.
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of business-related processes, practices and technologies that represent best practice and continuous improvement to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining compliance with relevant statutory and departmental requirements.
- Develop collaborative relationships with other business units in Biosecurity Queensland, DPI and the Business Corporate Partnership and external stakeholders to deliver Logistic and Supply Chain Services to the program.
- Manage and draft quality Logistics and Supply Chain related executive correspondence.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships, networks and partnerships across Government and other stakeholders to keep contemporary with emergent issues which may impact on the Logistics and Supply Chain of the program.
- Identify opportunities to optimise supply chain processes through data driven insights and recommendations ensuring the implementation of the highest standards of customer service and compliance.
- Undertake high level, complex, sensitive and time critical tasks and projects as directed.
- Proactively contribute to maintaining the desired culture within a high-performing team by working smartly and independently, behaving in a professional manner in accordance with agreed policies, utilising initiative and maintaining a positive outlook and approach.
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Direct and coordinate supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimisation, profitability maximisation, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), resulting in the maximisation of customer satisfaction.
- Improve the system processes in the warehouse and coordinate warehouse activity - Monitor the performance of the Warehouse Team.
- Forklift License
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable
- Procurement qualifications.
