Our client is seeking a qualified Tax Accountant in their Perth CBD office. This role requires a skilled individual to ensure the company's tax compliance obligations are consistently met while offering strategic tax advice on varied matters like international taxation and transfer pricing.
The position involves direct engagement with stakeholders across the business, ensuring clarity in tax-related communications and practices. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with corporate income tax and possess sharp analytical skills for evaluating tax issues. What you will Do?
- Provide comprehensive tax planning advice to the business concerning GST and expense reimbursement.
- Actively participate in external reviews and support audits from tax authorities.
- Prepare consolidated and standalone tax effect accounting calculations and note disclosures.
- Prepare core tax compliance activities, including Consolidated tax return and supporting schedules, Advanced Pricing Agreements (APA) Annual Compliance Reporting (ACR), Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), Local File (LF) and Master File (MF), transfer pricing documentation, Research & Development (R&D) Tax Incentive, GST, PAYGI, FBT, PRRT, Payroll Tax, and other reporting requirements.
- Enhance tax compliance procedures through process automation and data analytics.
- Facilitate the development and alignment of tax policies with global standards.
Profile
Your Skills
- Hold a tertiary education with CPA or CA qualification,
- Demonstrated experience in corporate income tax and transfer pricing within a professional services firm will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of tax effect accounting calculations and reporting requirements. Knowledge of Advance Price Arrangement and PRRT an advantage but not essential.
- Outstanding communication skills for negotiating with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- High proficiency in Excel and prior experience with ERP systems like SAP and tax software.
